A great floor deserves great finishing. This guide explains where PVC edge trims, T-moldings, skirting and reducers are used — for a complete, polished result.

Edge Trims, Skirting & Reducers: An Accessory Guide

Many focus on the floor itself and overlook the finishing accessories — yet these details determine whether the result looks clean and professional. Here is a breakdown.

PVC edge trim

Finishes the edges of the floor in a matching color for a neat, natural transition — commonly used along walls, steps and doorways.

T-molding

Joins two floors of equal height, such as the transition between rooms, hiding the seam for smooth, level walking.

Skirting

Installed at the wall-floor joint, it protects the base of the wall from scuffs while visually framing the space for a refined look.

Reducer

Bridges floors of different heights — for example between flooring and tile or carpet — smoothing the level change to prevent tripping.

Matching tips

We recommend choosing accessories in the same or a similar color as your floor for a cohesive look; contrasting tones work too when you want emphasis. YULIN accessories cover our core swatch codes for one-stop matching.
